Bit rusty at the moment...
I remember I got Roman numeral and Standard notation working simultaneously in BIAB. It involved a line of some sort under the chords.
Can anyone advise how this is done please?

I don't know about the 'simultaneous' part of your question, nor the 'line of some sort under the chords'.
But let's start with the basics. Right-click on the chordsheet, choose Display Options, and change Chord Display: Normal to Chord Display: Roman Numeral.

Thank you Matt, but no. I know how to show either or, but I did find a way to show both - simultaneously, it was a bit of a hack and it involved a row under the chords (as my old brain recalls)

Got the solution Matt. Load song with standard notation, go to the chord display icon - this is above the second bar (not preferences). Hover over "Layers", select "Roman numerals".

I should like a feature where I can make some song come up as "standard" and others come up as "Roman Numerals" and some as both - though I realise the latter is more challenging for the programmer. Sometimes I am thinking "chord progression style", sometimes more "classical score" wise
A feature to have both showing more elegantly would be good.
This bit is even weirder:
Incidentally, I think you can play with the size of the fonts in that in Pres/Display. Next to the "Choose Font" button there is another way to "choose font" (if you follow.....) there are two drop down boxes. The first selects the "target" for the font change - e.g. lyrics, chord change symbols..) the second chooses the font type.
Further to this you can change row sizes in "display"
Definitely a hunt and peck trek.
My personal opinion is that the preferences section needs a complete overhaul as do many secondary windows. The image presented is like a menu from the packman era, as modern as my mother's wallpaper. Not all bad, of course we have got 64'd. That is progress.
