Back with a bunch of problems, sorry for that. I`ve been making some backings with the audio chord wizard and getting familiar with this- thought so. Logicaly, there are different tempos with each bar to sync with the audiofile. But when finished with the work- correcting some chords, placing lyrics, midibassline, a. s. o., I want to have a steady tempo for the whole song, not needing the audiofile anymore. Up to now,I couldn`t find out, how to change the tempo map in "one shot", I only can open every bar and write the needed tempo or place a 0 for no change of tempo. As far as you might know, it is a lot of time, as the map does not open in place, I have to doubleclick the bar, wait, till the song starts and then press F5, also waiting, till this opens. At 100 bars or more, takes a lot of time. Is there a way to clean the tempomap and place a throughout tempo, then maybe at the ending or so, place a different one? Today I found out, that my files are different to those saved. I made a stringline in midi for the Kristofferson song "for the good times", now opened the file, I found "piccicato strings" in place and my own work is lost. Also the file opened with the audioline placed on the first- bass- line of the chosen style. So I`m afraid, all or many of my files done are different to the saved ones also. Also I could`nt find the song that I saved in Bb and in another styleversion, shure I saved it in the correct folder, though searching the other folders it`s lost. Also sometimes I save a song "as", the chosen folder looks empty, the files are not visible. Sometimes I have trouble and the program shuts down without the possibility to save the work. Is this a known bug in 2016 ultimate pak (on usb-hard drive)?
In the near future I plan to make tutorial videos, is there a problem with "copyrights" using famous songs and/or with pg music itsself? I know, many questions and maybe too boring.

Short answer to this question is: Yes. However, you can create your own individual songs using BiaB, and use those. In other words: you must own the rights to the song.
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.

Hi sac,
The tempo map is set using 'Bar Settings'. If you want to get rid of all the tempo variations...
1. Save the song with a new file name so that you can get back to the original if you need to.
2. Working on this newly named file... right-click in the middle of a bar on the chordsheet and select "Bar settings" from the pop-up menu (F5 is the shortcut key).
3. Down the bottom on the left side of the Bar Setting preferences, there's a button called "Reset ALL Bars". Click on that.
This will get rid of all the tempo changes so that the tempo plays consistently throughout at the speed set by "Tempo" (next to key and number of choruses).
Regards, Noel

regarding your lost string work...
BIAB reserves all tracks except the Melody and Soloist tracks for creating backings. Every time a song is generated, these backing tracks are generated anew unless the track is frozen. This is normal behaviour.
If you made changes to the string track (I'm guessing that it is MIDI), then those changes will only be saved if you freeze the track. If you don't freeze the track, they will be lost next time the song is opened and generated.
If the track is a Realtrack and you made changes to the notation, this won't affect the sound of the Realtrack because Realtrack notation only shows what is being played in the audio file (it doesn't determine what is played).
Regards, Noel

If you are having problems saving, it might be because you are not running the program in "Run as administrator" mode. PG Music recommend this. To set this mode... 1. Right click on the startup shortcut. 2. Select properties. 3. Under the Compatibility tab, set "Run as administrator". Now when you start up BIAB, Windows will ask for permission to run it. Click Yes/OK. If you are having problems. It would be worth trying the 32-bit version of the program. In the \bb directory on your USB drive there are two EXE files. These are BBW64.EXE (this is to start the 64-bit version of BIAB) and BBW.EXE (this starts the 32-bit version of the program). As a test, start BIAB 32-bit in "Run as administrator" mode and see if your problems persist. Your song files will work with either version. Regards, Noel P.S. Next time you have multiple problems, I respectfully suggest using separate threads for each problem. It makes it much easier to address the issues.

Thanks so much. I knew the "reset all bars", but was arguing, it will reset all changes I`ve made, incl. style- and volumechanges etc. But of course, it`s better to redo those as to type every bars tempo.
I use the 64bit version, thought it runs better.
So every line built with midiarrangement changes and must be frozen before beeing stored. Shure, the real tracks aren`t affected, thats what I learned first, but I didn`t realize that miditracks are generated new when beeing loaded new. Sadly many work is lost now. So all tracks should be frozen before stored, as they change from time to time loaded.
Sorry, I thought counterwise, that it would be better to answer to one thread than to seperate ones. I respectfully do so further on.
The strings were put on the melody track, but were generated new eventhough, The other tracks are pedal steel, 2 guits, drum and bassline. The special characteristic basswalk in the songbeginning I`ve put to soloist track, now froze it. So better freeze everything, even though the changes in the realtracks aren`t that much.
Sadly with the copyrights, as there are many "covers" out there(youtube a.s. o.) not owning the rights of the song, as long as they aren`t sold I thought could be no problem. But if so, it is. Greats from germany

There is a way to remove all tempo changes, without resetting other Bar Settings: Audio > Audio Chord Wizard Utilities > [Erase tempo map]

Thanks Blake, this option is a not very often seen feature in the audio map, but I see, such a complex program has many features in "funny places"- (why not in the F5 pop up). Once beeing comfortable with it after long time working with the programm, I find it very usable, also I don`t understand things the first time, as b. t. w. changing unfrozen midilines that I`ve worked out hard- solos, stringarrangements, basslines a. s. o.-, but they are the way they are and one has to get known to them as "normal behavior". Many ways lead to Rome

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
