Simplified-nope. It is a matter of design. I think it is a question of not what it does, but how it is doing it.
What I mean, I do not want to give up features for the looks. This year's update was a biggy. Now all they got to do is find a good designer, a programmer-chiropractor who can manipulate stiff skeleton smile

If they do it right, it should last many years without major changes.
I can name at least 3 audio (arranging) programs, each was written by a single person years ago. Very clean, robust and efficient. What I am aiming at is you do not need an army of coders to do things the right way.
