Not sure why the style I choose in BIAB which was Sliding Style Pedal Steel Pop Country didn't transfer over to Real Band. The style I choose had like 5 tracks and when it transferred the piano and pedal steel track did not show up. I have the 2018 Ultra BIAB and the Xtra Styles Pak. I also did a drag and drop into my DAW Mixcraft8 and the Pedal Steel wasn't there either. It seems to be missing when I take it into a DAW, but it does play in BIAB??
Okay I see the Pedal Steel and Piano tracks are missing in the BIAB, although the Stylepicker says they should be there. Anyone know what's up with that?
I choose several different styles with the Pedal Steel and it seems to be missing in all of them. Very strange!
Hmm odd one. Sometimes some instruments only play during the B variation (Green bar marker) section of your song and not the A (blue). Just a thought . Mike
I have a chat into BIAB about what the reason the pedal steel and piano are not playing. I played through the entire song again this morning and "nope" these tracks never come on. I'll post the answer if I find out.
Check the Plugins tab of the mixer. Make sure the steel track does not have a VST selected there. It should be [None]... I've had that get "stuck" and leave a VST there even after selecting an RT - and the RT won't play...
So.... I'd look in BB to see what the track style number is... you know, the RT number. Then, if it doesn't show up in RB.... just generate it there using the track number. Boom! Done.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
Another thing to check is the 'auto substitute' feature of BIAB. It could be that the track in question has been automatically substituted by BIAB because it's a better tempo match.
If this case you will see two x "~~" characters in front of the track's name in the mixer.
For example: ~~2666:Pedal Steel, Rhythm LushChordsSlow Ev 075
means that the RT #2666 has been automatically substituted by BIAB.
Floyd the only thing I see when I look at the Plug-ins is that the Pedal Steel has a black dot in the edit column and none of the other tracks do. However, the piano track isn't there and it does not have the black dot in the edit column. I do not see any reference to a VST at all. So not sure what any of that means.
Guitarhacker I used the StylePicker in BB, the Pedal Steel track number is 2824. I tried the regenerate in BB but it didn't do anything. Maybe I need to go somewhere else in the software to generate.
Noel, no funny characters in front of the Pedal Steel and Piano tracks. These are all green tracks showing.
I sent the song to BIAB and talked to Ember today, we checked my Audio setup but that's not it.
She said they would get back to me. Last year I had BIAB 2017 Pro and did several songs with Pedal Steel in it. However, I do have a new computer and did copy everything over to it.
HI Pipeline, I went into the Stylepicker in BB and found it. Did a rebuild and it said No missing RT XT2/ST2 nothing to do. There was another weird message that said 2 RT f*.st files in BB folder, but no RT in folder. Either install RT again or point to correct RT folder in RT settings. Press rebuild to rebuild list.
I went to my C drive to the BB folder and Pedal Steel and found the 12Key Eddie one looked in the folder and there are plenty of files in there.
I'm not sure what you are referring to about "a black dot in the edit column"... I think you are looking at something different than what I was talking about... see the picture below. The Plugins tab of the Mixer.
Notice that the Piano track has a VST (sforzando VST_x86). All the other tracks say [None] for that first slot. If your Pedal Steel track has something other than [None], click on it and change it to [None]
I just contacted BIAB support again, Mikke said their Tech Support would get back to me. So annoying when you want to get on with the song and your car won't start. I can't see anything wrong, but certainly something is. In 2017 I had the PRO version and the pedal steel tracks always played then. Now none of the styles with pedal steel will play. Thanks everyone for your help.
Okay, so I found the style on my external hard drive that the BIAB Ultra came on and all tracks load and works from there just fine. I assume it was something in transferring everything to my new computer. So, I am going to redo all my copying to the hard drive from the originals and see if that corrects everything.
Finally solved the problem. For some reason when I reinstalled on my new computer something didn't install correctly. So, I deleted my c:\bb folder and started over reinstalling everything from my external hard drive for the BIAB Ultra. I then installed the 4 X Paks, so now it seems to be working fine. Don't really know what happened but it works now.
