Hi Sirius,
I haven't used ACW in Realband before this morning. When I just tried it, though, it is as you described. That made me think that this might be one of the differences between ACW in RB and ACW in BIAB.
While I don't have an answer to your question, in Realband, it's certainly easy enough to delete the audio track once the chords are determined.
Enter Tracks view. Click on the track, press CTRL+A to select it all and then use "Edit | Track | Erase" to remove it.
Hopefully this helps you out until someone with more knowledge of ACW in RB comes along.
