Thanks Martin. I apolgise for not explaining myself fully in the first instance. To be honest, I didn't want to face all the typing!

Here's the full story...

The problem that arises for me is that I often write melodies in even time (with EV 16 styles) using patterns involving dotted 1/8 notes and 1/16h notes. EV 16-beat styles work perfectly with this (so do EV 8-beat styles). Then, for melodic emphasis, every now and then, I write 1/4 notes triplets figures in one of the above songs. Triplet resolution will resolve the triplets but wreck the 1/16 note pattern. Not having triplet resolution resolves the 1/16th note patterns but wrecks the triplets. I have tried setting notes in piano roll mode and snapping them to their proper positions, adjusting the individual resolution of the beats, changing the order in which I do things. To date, I have not stumbled on a solution that works for both 1/16th notes and 1/4 note triplets.

I point out that this is only notation. Musically, everything plays perfectly.

As I said in my earlier post, notation in BIAB suits me generally and, as it's not the reason that I bought BIAB, I'm not fussed. I mention this just so that PGMusic can investigate it if they intend to update the notation side of things.

It [BIAB notation] is superb in concept and very fast to use once you understand it.

I totally agree Mac.
