Hi!
I5, 16 GB RAM, C: = 128 GB SSD, H: disk for full installation of BB (1 TB)
Win 7 SP1 latest build
M-Audio 1010LT sound card
Video card
Initial install of BB went just fine. Then, the second or third update caused this message to pop up :
Can't find noname.sg1
Then :
Access violation with a bunch of numbers
BB freezes with the message "Counting Candidate Plugins" in the title bar. It stays there, BB can't be closed without Task Manager.
Will revert to original version unless someone or PG music provides me with a solution. VST functionality worked with original install but I did not bother trying it with the crippled updates.
Phone Help Desk never returned my call (after half a day),
Online chat agent just left me there hanging after telling me to wait a moment (more than a half hour). I just quit because I have more urgent things to do.
Very disappointed with PG Music. Will stop buying their updates if they don't resolve the issue.

Then, the second or third update caused this message to pop up : You should be able to just install the most recent update, as they are cumulative. Also, if you have any plugins that require a dongle (such as those from Steinberg or use Pace authentication), make sure the dongle(s) are plugged in before launching BIAB. Additionally, make sure you have set your shortcut to "run BIAB as administrator.

John, Actually Andrew with PG Music Support kind of disagrees about needing to run the program as administrator. See +++ HERE +++ +++ The complete "Administrator" Thread +++ is an interesting read. All in all I don't think the discussion changed any opinions but the differing perspectives are interesting.

The problem may be resolved in build 622, if it was the result of a DX plugin scan error at bootup (may need to launch Band-in-a-Box twice for it to be fixed.)
