Specifically, a pushed chord in the 3rd beat of a measure was about 1/32nd note late for _AUBURN.STY. I did not check other beats.
It sounded a bit off to me so I confirmed it by using shots and layering a melody over it to clearly mark the beats. I didn't check the 1/16th push very carefully. I checked a few other styles but they were fine.

You can really hear a 1/32 push? do you really care?

John, a push means to play the chord earlier than the beat it’s on. So you are saying a 1/8 note push sounds like it’s playing late. A 1/16 push would push less of a duration and play even later, so that’s not the answer. If I understand the question correctly, either you are asking for a 3/16 push, which doesn’t exist in BIAB, or else maybe you are reporting an error in how this one style is played. Is any of that correct?
Dave, I can certainly understand how a late hit of this degree would be bothersome. I’m just trying to clarify the problem.

Matt, is this really a problem that affects anyone except the author? As a guitarist, I cannot even say if I am exactly on the beat with any chord I play. Generally I am close, and that's probably true for many musicians. Whether a push is 1/8 or 1/16 or 1/32 isn't recognizable to all but the most refined ear. It might make a difference to the notation, but once the band is playing, all bets are off

Doesn't adding faster beats force you to slow the overall tempo down? All midi files come in at 120 bpm and I find the fastest note value and slow the tempo down enough to hear that timing. Sometimes it seems to change the character of the song by doing such. Especially with the Pianist midi files. Playing too fast diminishes the nuances that are present in rhythms. With guitar its a little difference because you have extra strummings without hitting the strings to correct to get the right timing.
