Vanilla Fudge! That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I remember seeing them on the Sullivan show doing "You Keep me hanging on". Great stuff!

Thanks, Scott smile

When you have it, you have it! From the vocals, guitars, arrangement and mix is A+. You and Christiane have very special musical chemistry. There are no mediocre songs.

P.S. I was thinking about what you said earlier about not missing bar gigging... You are so right!

Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Thanks, Misha! The important thing for me at this stage of the game is the fun aspect, no expectations other than that.

Yes, that piano is a nice one, I'll probably use it again at some point. Thanks, Janne!

Could very well be. Mixing is almost always a two step process for me. When I come back to a song after not hearing it for a while I hear stuff I missed the first time. I'll get back to this one at some point if we decide to do another CD.

Thanks, Ray!

Wow - what a tune! Love the groove on it, and thought the progressions and vocal performance was fantastic. Nicely catchy too. The guitar is super smooth and really helped tie it all together for me.

You should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing smile

This mix stuff is always wrapped in the system one is listening on and personal preference. It's never finished...just abandoned. IMO.

The write, arrangement, vocal/performances are what we've come to expect from you two. Meaning...excellent. The harmony is STAND OUT.

"I leave the light on 'til midnight
the whole night through
cold pillows talking to me
I am missing the heat
I am missing you
I can’t get no sleep"

Strong lines!

As Kenny mentioned "plenty of emotion." YES....the entire production just oozes soul!!!

And that puts it right in J&B's wheelhouse.

Kudos!

J&B

Took me a while to get those harmonies right so thanks for noticing!

Chris and I appreciate the support and kind words smile

Can't get no sleep? Write a song. Sometimes that's the cure. Sometimes it's the cause. She wrote a good 'un.

Impressed with the "depth" of the mix. Everything is where it feels right.

I'll be honest...I was kinda hoping for a long slow fade of the vocals with the guitar taking over for the ending, but expectations are personal. Much enjoyed the listen.
