What a great thing. The mix may be a bit unusual, but I'm convinced you wanted it this way. I've been racking my brain on whom your singing reminds me (most positively!) In vain. But what the heck: You did a really good job on this one.

Nice! Don't be shy on the five string...it sounds great. And, hey, an upright works with a ton of genres nowadays. I play, well used to, one and I hear them a lot in Americana music.
Nice mix of live playing, RT's / RD's and vocal performance. Has an excellent live band feel to it.
Good to see a fellow Logic Pro user here!

I've been compared to several singers, all of them dead. I never had the courage to ask if the comparison meant to be was posthumous. But I think I sound more like me than anyone else. Works for me!

Thanks for the good words.
I opted for the fiver so I could have that low D after first tracking with the J-Bass. I think the extended range worked well for this tune.
I'm still using Logic 9 because going to 10 requires upgrading the OS and THAT basically upsets every app in the studio. That free OS upgrade would cost me about $600 because of all the other upgrades I would have to buy.
