As I understand it, opening a BIAB file in MuseScore is only going to give you the melody and soloist track (assuming they are MIDI), the chords, and the lyrics. The other parts are style dependent and MuseScore has no way of generating those.

So, if you open an SGU file, basically you're only going to get a a blank staff with chord names above the appropriate bars, since there is no melody or solo in an SGU file. If you open an MGU file with a MIDI melody and lyrics, you should get the melody and lyrics in addition to the chord progression.
