I found JAZZ BABY VST a very loud and present Piano VST that is free. I admit at least one note sounded truncated or muffled or the like. But the power of its sound and its resonance and the like was striking. It really is loud and I really had to turn the volume down in BAIB. Please note that it is 32 bit. There is by the same creator his General Piano it sounds really nice but it is not at all as up front. Le Piano and Prova called a "premium grand piano module" plus classic analog string VSTi etc. I hope this info will help some of you. Free is good most of the time... But, can't you get a piano to "cut through the mix" using other means?
In the mixing stage, there's a number of ways to get the piano up on top if that's where you want it.

Of course you can. What I meant is that this Piano VST is so loud that you have to bring down the volume in BAIB. But it has a lot of sustain and it made my single note piano melody track when soloed a lot better than the tinkering sound of Banstand or the TTS-1 defualt piano.
This piano VST has no settings. But if you want a piano that's in your face--right out of the box try it out.

I've had good results by taking my default pianos in Sonar, and Kontakt, and using a custom EQ on them to bring out the highlights. BTW... in TTS and other synths, they generally come at about 60% or so volume wise..... if you're familiar with the synth, you find the master volume and turn it up.
Not knocking your new synth.... just commenting on what I've done to get a piano up out of the mix a time or two.
