Kenny. I am glad you enjoyed "I Think I better go". It was one of my favorites this FAWM.
Joe - Thanks for taking the time to listen
PeterF - Thanks for listening and commenting on "It dont belong to me"
Misha - I am glad you enjoyed "Fake it" and "Let Me be Me". I have already been performing the second one one for a live audience and it went down well.

THE WEATHERS REALLY GOOD HERE Style is _SW130RG.STY (Mid Tempo Country-Folk) Another good composition... I looked it up but I'm not sure about a "RTGS"... I enjoyed your usual good work on this one! BTW... Why do you think there are not a lot more lady songwriters on the PG forum... There are a lot of them participating in FAWM... Perhaps they haven't discovered how helpful Biab is to songwriters... I think many ladies are put off with how complicated home recording seems to be. But even on FAWM I think if you were to count you would find many more men than women participating. There are a few woman on FAWM who use BIAB but the only one who participates here (there I know of) is Donna. I do think we need to encourage more woman. I do try to sing the praises of BIAB and know of at least one lady songwriter who has purchased the product as a result.

Herb. Thanks for giving some songs more than the 30 seconds I appreciate it. I am glad you like I See You. I did something a little different on this one. I wanted to use Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay chord progression but couldn't come up with up a nice smooth sexy type of lyric. So I took a lyric that I had written (and recorded) a couple of years ago and tried to put it to this progression. I thought I had ended up with a brand new song but when I listen to them one after the other I cannot believe how similar they are! I guess once you have a melody in your brain for a set of lyrics it is hard to shake it off. Fascinating that the melody ended up almost the same but the chord progression is wildly different. I will have to study that sometime. I think I need to plot the vocals side by side in Melodyne and see what they look like. I am glad you liked "Fake It". I thought the lyric was a little predictable but I do like how the song turned out.

I SEE YOU Style is _ACPOP16.STY (16ths Accordion Folk-Pop) Another good little love song... Warning: Don't let this guy meet your best ex-friend Elaine... Thanks for explaining "Real Time Gross Settlement"... As well as your thoughts on the lady songwriters question... I do hope that those who use Biab will start to take advantage of the Showcase PG has graciously given us!

Joanne, I haven't been online in a while, but this post caught my eye. I haven't listened to them all yet, but the one that really sticks in my mind so far is "It don't belong to me". It is a stripped down mix, but it really would work as an acoustic piece. The catchy melody sticks in your head and I think it make a great choice for the acoustic performance. When I listen to the rest I will post again. Be well, be happy. Wonderful tune.

A BEAUTIFUL LIFE Style is _LITEPOP.STY (Lite Pop w/ Songwriter Guitar) Another good one... I like the way you always have an introduction for your work showing your inspiration for each piece... Those intros are always interesting to read... I also enjoyed to your song... Thanks for sharing.

FAKE IT Style is _HOTRAMP.STY (Hot Rod Amplitube Rockabilly) Your version takes Metalfoots lyrics & progression in a different & solid direction... I like the backing tracks you chose... You did a really good job on this one... I like it! _________________ Now that I've listened to all of you songs, I went back & see I gave you 5 stars on the following ones... The ones I liked really well... "IT DON'T BELONG TO ME" "ELAINE" "PLAY SONGS WITH YOU AGAIN" "I SEE YOU" "FAKE IT" I hope you do well at the National Arts Festival in July.

Hi Joanne,
I finally had the time to listen to all your songs (except for Halcyon Days which I couldn't get to play). Generally it is very impressive that you could come up with all these songs in such a short time!
My favorite songs are:
I Am Woman (by far the best song in my humble opinion) I Think I Better Go Fake It
and... It Don't Belong To Me (because of the very good lyrics - not my style of music)
I liked the lyrics of "The Weathers Really Good Here" as well, but I would have loved a more Afro-inspired style (in the backing-tracks) in order to honor where your inspiration to the lyrics came from.
All in all... you did an amazing job at FAWM 2019 and I really enjoyed spending time listening to all these songs!
Thank you for sharing! Will

Jim - Thanks so much for listening and commenting on all these songs. You are a star! I am still waiting to hear from the festival to see if I have a spot but once I have it I am going to start preparing my set and recording an album. I am hopefully also going to be doing some guitar lessons to get myself upto scratch in that department.
