In Jim's image the controls I'd focus on would be
Delay (how long between each 'slapback' repeat)
Feedback (how many times)
Wet/Dry mix (how much of the delay is mixed in with the dry signal)

The High/Low rolloff can can also be significant in changing the sound of the delayed (slapback) effect.

Note that if this effect is added at the Track FX level these settings can be much different than if the effect is added at the AUX buss level. Experiment.
The AUX buss level 'adds' the effect to the dry signal in a different way than if it is inserted at the Track level.
