I'm new to this ... other times I have simply hit the "PLAY" button and instead of getting the same arrangement I had for the last ten or twenty times, it converts into random sounding midi noises.
Whenever Play is hit, a new arrangement will be created. If by chance a midi style was selected, then this new arrangement will be midi based instead of employing RealTracks. The new freeze feature is introduced to keep tracks and prevent them from being overwritten. Maybe a bit getting used to otherwise standard workflow procedures and skimming the manual once in a while helps overcoming frustrations.
