Great groove! This has tons of potential, sounds good just as an instrumental, looking forward to hearing it with vocals.

Man, that would rock a stadium.
Everything is cookin' with so many cool things happening. Love that intro and the way you processed the tracks...thanks for the background info on that.
Your bass carries the song really well. Even though I played bass for years I haven't cracked the code yet on how to get a bass to "sit" the way I want it to. You did a great job with it.
Hope your singer drops by the studio soon!

Cool track!! You're going to need a BIG voice on top of it. I know Hear to Learn can sing heavier rock. Cool stuff!! Take care. Greg

rayc,
Super accompaniment for a great rock song! It reminds me of some of 70's British Rock. Power and excitement everywhere! As Janne says, great rocker with interesting chording and guitar phrasing. I'll also be waiting for the vocal version.
Best regards.

Hello Folks, I've listened again with suggestions made on this thread in mind and have modified the blance a little and added a few bibs & bobs to maintain interest whilst waiting for the vocalist to get well enough to record. Here's the update... https://soundcloud.com/rayc/spacerock300319gd

Lots of great stuff happening here! Loved that intro! This has such a huge sound (70's Heavy Metal power chord stuff with modern twists). Lyrics/vocals will be anticipated by many of us who have listened! Thanks, Torrey Ta Torrey, I did try other chord shapes for this but I don't know enough of them to navigate the range necessary. I'm anticipating the lyrics as well.

Ray, More of Space Punk to me than Space Rock I believe you have done excellent work in arranging this and creating unique sound. Bass playing is awesome! It grasped attention at about 0:30, and held pretty well through whole tune, especially got interesting at about 3:34 till the end. Heavy fxed guitars suit this tune well! The digi chirping on intro and outro was a success. As far as suggestions, To me, the ending notes are a bit lonely Maybe continue with those digi chirping that started about 3:55 to those final notes so they have "friends" till they die? Thank you for sharing! Misha. Thanks Misha, I've taken your advice and added more to the end.

Alan Thanks Alan, Oozing is fine with me as long as it doesn't stain my shirt.

What a tune! The guitars absolutely soar and the tune has so much energy behind it. I can imagine this sounding absolutely unreal in a live setting. Some of those licks and progressions are deadly. It is hard to listen without feeling pumped. You should be proud of this one! Thanks for sharing Thanks Deryk, I hope to be satisfied with the final product - the proof will be in the eating of course.

A real wall of sound going on... Good quality sound too. Everyone else has said about leaving some space for vocals, but you obviously know what you're doing there... Great so far. Love the sustained guitar at the end too. Ta MrJones?, The sustained feedback is something that amp does rather well. Lucky me - I used an Oz clone of a Big Muff (Big Fluff) to add just a little more to it.

Thank you Dave, IF I was able to play an instrument melodically I might be tempted but needs must.

J&B J&B, Thanks heaps. the bass was problematic as, despite 45 years of playing, I'm still not consistent enough - double compression & a Behri BD21 help a lot though.

Greg Thanks Greg, the bloke who is planning to sing it does have decent tonsils. Not RJD testicles in the throat type but he's done a couple of harder rock tracks for me very well.

Thank you Shigeki, 70s rock is the inspiration for this - Mid peak era Hawkwind basically making it solidly in the 70s.

Very interesting and powerful sound. I, too, am looking forward to the vocals. A combination of grooving and hard-rocking composition. Love the climatic ending with the feedback/synth(?) tone for the denouement.
