Hi All
I added the key chain to the package I bought at Christmas and it was delivered .Fed Ex are now writing and looking for 40 Euro in tax for the key chain which costs 10 dollars .What a Joke of a company .I told them to F...ed Ex off! Seriously PG should think of using another company for outside of Canada shipments urs H

It's probably not a FedEx created issue. They are only the middle man, and maybe just doing what they're told by the big boss?
40 Euro in tax for a $10 item? Sounds a bit fishy.... Did anything else come in the package with the $10 key-chain?

FedEx may also be handling duty (or whatever the tax/import fee is called there). Just a thought .. some places seem to charge an awful lot to import a disk drive regardless of cost or size of said drive.
Maybe they want to make it look like they actually have to inspect the contents (data) before letting it through.. but something tells me they don't often do this.
Cost of doing business I guess.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Hi well
As it was only a keychain /key ring and not a drive of any sort even a memory stick.
It seems as Pg may have valued the order at the price of the complete order including your download on the customs declaration , this should not be so only the price of the keychain which would have been to low to pay duty on.
This amount would make the duty charged comparable with that paid on a hard drive version of the software when importing to the uk from Canada
Just my thoughts

I must ask Pg whether its put in at its 10 dollar price or complete order.Either way they lost there chance to get any money out of me.They can have the key chain back.Its a bit of a cheek leaving the order there and then looking for this amount,H

There presumably was a Proforma Invoice or some other Commercial document enclosed with the FedEx order.
Did that document absolutely state that the invoice was only for a $10 key-chain, or - regardless of the package contents - did it state something else also on the document to a value higher than $10?
I'm not aware of any country charging 450% tax rates. Regardless of the key-chain hardware, was there something else you ordered at the same time?

Something does seem to have gone wrong here, ok 40 Euro if you had got the physical hard drive as well, I can understand that.
But you really want to make sure rather than just fobbing it off and not paying that they can't take any civil or court action against you, that would involve you having to pay a lot more than that, worthwhile finding out I think, I would anyways.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track.
