Hello Everyone!
Here is a song that I wrote for my Dad over 54 years ago, when I was a 13 year old boy. It was done then in a Hank Williams style of country, but for my recording of it, I chose to use the incredible Western Swing multi-style. I just love that!
The song was recorded using all of the instrument variations in this multi-style, along with a liberal use of the Oohs and Aahs available.
I provided the lead vocals and some acoustic guitar, plus the music and lyrics, of course.
It was recorded on my computer using the BIAB dragdrop to Reaper. WAVES Tune was used on my vocals (it helped, but did not make me sound 40 years younger! lol). I also used WAVES Abbey Road Chambers Reverb, and Abbey Road Mastering.
Since this song was written so long ago, and by a young teenager, please be aware that the lyrics may be a bit simplistic and immature. In other words, not PC, by todays standards. But with that disclaimer out of the way, here's the link for any that would like to give it a listen.
