Hi Noel,Ive got the ultraplus 2014 biab..what happens I play back a songs Ive recorded on biab and it breaks up like latency.Ive looked at the latency required for it and is the correct one.Im not playing a keyboard or mid controller I use all the instruments in biab and just do a mix..Cheers Frankie
Hi
You use the terms latency and breaking up in the same sense :
They are not in fact one is the opposite of the other.
Breakup is caused by too small an audio buffer so increase by say 50 at a time.
Latency is audio being out of sync with midi is caused by buffer size and round trip time in and out.
To sum up :
The larger the buffer the less the stutter and break up . but the greater the Lateny
And visa versa.
See this thread here. On break up and check your synth settings for buffer size.

PS
By the way the latency settings in BIAB only effect the visual display that you see in notation and chord sheet to make them appear in step .
They do not alter the round trip time in and out of your synth. The only way to do that is with buffer sizes or faster drivers like asio if you can.
An external midi synth or module connected to the midi driver will have near enough Zero. Where as a virtual synth running in the the pc will req some buffer for when the pc is busy doing other things like running the program, and any external task (anti virus etc)
