Bob, I understand what you are saying, but think you kind of miss the whole point of this plugin. If the VSTi has every feature of BiaB then it wouldn’t be a plugin. It would be a full program and we already have that. The whole concept was to have the basic generation features of Biab and RB to use inside an DAW.

There are literally thousand if not millions of users out there who will not ever use RB because they like the workflow in their DAW of choice, be it protools, BandLab, reaper, studio one, Cubase, you name it. The plugin allow thes people to create tracks to add into projects with ease that would be much harder any other way. If they need to use melodist, harmonists, and a plethora of other options then start in BiaB. If you need to generate a basic track, or add a mandolin or Celtic fiddle or what ever boom open the plugin and go to work.

I would like to see RB advance also but to get it to the level of say studio one would take some major recoding. Maybe someday. But one of the big asks was to have a plugin of Biab to add those basic features to high end DAWs. Now there is one. This has the potential to bring in many new users to PGM using the anti on future development.
