Muscadine Wine

Thought I'd post up another one from the archive. This was the penultimate track done before I shut down and changed the hemisphere in which to live and love.

It was brought to mind by this thread:

as it largely swings back and forth from 3/4 to 4/4 (or is it between 7/4 and 4/4?) I'd played it like that on acoustic without much thought, so it was a fun challenge to move it to BIAB. It has a kinda "alcoholic" swagger in this combo of time signatures, I think.

I'm sorry that I don't remember was style was used and can't find any production files. It was a midi style run through hard-synth. The "lead guitar" was intended to be a place-holder for a live guitarist, but that never happened. Just pretend the lead player got into the wine a bit early. Was also hoping for live drums, but again--it didn't get that far.

Harmony help from Michael Kardos.

Chorus: Muscadine wine, muscadine wine
It tastes so fine, that muscadine wine
Warms up my toes as it numbs up my nose.
I do love that muscadine wine.

I find my place. Grandma says grace.
Corn-bread and onions put a smile on my face.
Fresh turnip greens
and a bowl of white beans.
Wash it down with muscadine wine.

Chorus

Instrumental

I love the sound after dinner is downed
Grandpa, he gathers the kids all around
I strum my strings
while everyone sings
a song about muscadine wine.

Chorus x2
