Loved that chorus. Very funny. I guess I hear it mostly as a country song, and in a bar setting that chorus is definitely sing-along-worthy. Great listen.

Hello Jim,
I listened to your song a couple of times and liked it more and more.
In the beginning it felt a bit awkward, I think because of the midi, but that feeling quickly disappeared.
And that pedal steel guitar is fitting nicely (untill now I never used this instrument, so maybe now?)
The lyrics I liked the most. Basic and so sweet.

Hans Thanks, Hans... I’m glad you enjoyed the listen... I don't know what caused the awkwardness at the beginning... There was no midi on this tune... I played the intro on my acoustic... But its nice to know a real acoustic guitar can sound like a midi steel string guitar.

This is a restful, very pleasant listen. I'm enjoying it.
I'm a fan of the AAAX rhyme scheme that you've used in the chorus. It's such an excellent asymmetric rhyme pattern. At the moment, I'm sitting here listening and typing and your song is bringing into my mind images of all that's good in life. Thank you heaps for that!

There's a Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" feel to this...a good thing, indeed, in our book!
We really like Al's comment, "soothing and laid back, yet captivating." Yep.
The nice production, write and vocal performance all contribute to the "catchy" vibe that folks have mentioned. It does stick with you!

Another good country singer, wish I could sing. The song gave me a laugh, I liked it and it did earworm me after a while. I felt there was something about the mix or production that didn't work well, it seemed quite lo-fi or something like that, but I got what you were after here and you did it well. Thanks, Bob... For your listen, your comments, & your support... Like you & probably others, I have always been self-critical of my own singing abilities... I remember the expression & I think it applies to me... "I sing like I tune my guitar... Just close enough (to being in tune)"
