A Bar Settings per song project editor window would be a useful addition to Band-in-a-Box. Another option might be to have a Song Project Bar Settings Wizard that could automate changing settings in multiple bars.

One of the questions I foresee is how would a user define which bars receive settings and which bars remain at default?

Another question is how do you manage the large quantity of settings that can be changed in each bar times the number of bars in the song project?

Last, do you count bars successively (1-255) or use the chorus and repeat song structure?

I believe a wizard modeled on the flexibility of the MIDI Event Editor Window would be easy for users to learn and use. Labeled check boxes can be checked to include or exclude a bar setting event along with data entry boxes when needed. When the desire is to apply a variable like tempo or volume change over a range of bars a data entry box should allow the entry of a range of check box data values to be applied over a range of bars. The downside of this approach is the wizard will need to be run multiple times to apply multiple ranges over multiple sets of bars.
