I'm not at all sure if the chord progression I had entered makes a difference or not, but since I was using one to try out various styles, I figure I should mention it. Just a I vi IV V progression.
I hadn't set any search parameters in the Style Picker, just left everything alone. I was using the "Play Using Current Chordsheet" function. Usually, when I click on "OK" everything is working fine. But then I'll run across a style that won't load. I click on the "Play" button and nothing happens, and when I click on "OK" the new style is not loaded. I looked closely at the instrumentation in the styles that won't load, and I didn't notice anything that would seem to be a problem. But obviously there is.
So, first I'm wondering what's causing this, and second, I'm wondering if there's a workaround, where I can load the style in spite of the Stylepicker's lack of cooperation.
