Hallo miteinander,
ich arbeite zur Zeit noch mit BiaB 2012 und habe folgendes Problem: Da ich in einer kleinen Big Band mit 13 Musikern Alt-Baritonsax und Klarinette spiele und die alten vom Bandleader und Arrangeur handgeschriebenen Noten mit Band in a Box notieren und üben möchte, habe ich das Problem, das das Transponieren in einem Song (meiner Ansicht nach) nur für ein Instrument vorgesehen ist. Gibt es hierfür inzwischen eine Lösung? Ich denke, dass ich nicht der Einzige bin, den das betrifft. Und unverschämterweise noch eine zweite Frage zur Notation: Wie kann man längere Bläserpausen (z.B 8, 12, 24 Takte) notieren, ohne dass man ein mehrseitiges Werk ausdrucken muss, aber BiaB trotzdem den Titel in voller Länge spielt?

willkommen im Forum!
Es ist mit Band in Box möglich, unterschiedlich transponierende Instrumente auszudrucken. Allerdings kannst du die nicht unterschiedlich selbst notieren. Band in a Box ist auch in der neuesten Version ja kein klassisches Notensatzprogramm, mit dem du mehrere Spuren von Hand setzen kannst. Du kannst lediglich die Melodiespur individuell setzen, dann Akkordchanges über die Takte angeben und alle anderen Spuren werden dann je nach gewähltem Style von Band in a Box generiert – diese sind aber auch transponiert je nach Instrument ausdruckbar.

Notationsverkürzungen, wie Faulenzer oder verdichtete Pausen über mehrere Takte lassen sich in Band in a Box nicht eingeben oder ausdrucken. Die einzige Optimiermöglichkeit ist, in den Notationseinstellungen anzuwählen, leere Takte durch einen Schrägstrich zu markieren. Für alles weitergehende musst du, auch in der aktuellen Version von BiaB 2019 deinen Song als MusicXML-Datei exportieren und dann z.B: Finale oder das kostenlose MuseScore für den Feinsatz der Notation einsetzen.

Für die von dir geschilderte Aufgabenstellung (mehrstimmiger Notensatz per Hand) ist Band in a Box nicht geeignet. Allerdings ist es, im Besonderen in der aktuellen Version 2019 möglich, sich vom Programm ganze Bläsersätze generieren und schreiben zu lassen, wenn du geeignete Styles nutzt, zum Beispiel die Crooner-RealStyles.

Jedes Instrument der Big Band kann individuell transponiert und ausgedruckt werden.

Papier ist doch geduldig. Längere Bläserpausen können für eine Ausdruckversion einfach auf etwa einen Takt komprimiert werden. Pausen über mehrere Takte könnten in diesem Takt via 'Section Text' symbolisiert werden.

Die BiaB Datei zum Playback enthält natürlich sämtliche Takte - aber diese Version muss ja nicht ausgedruckt werden.
