Well, of course after sending my last response, I figured out how to do it. (see attached image)
--> Choose a song (of course) --> At the top bar, choose "Melody" drop-down --> Select "Bass" instead of "Single Channel" --> Go to Lead Sheet Window (alt-W) --> Transpose down one octave (ctrl-alt-1) Voila !
I have a PC, so I think ctrl=cmd and and alt=option in Apple-land )
