Hey I'm trying to make music, but I'm not sure if it (my voice) sounds good. As per the posting instructions, you should kindly provide info regarding which tracks you performed and which tracks are Band in a Box tracks.... especially since you are a new visitor here, we don't know so we ask.

So I just performed the vocals and like I said the beat is not mine. More accurate, the beat is a free beat which I found on youtube.

You can ask for help in "Songwriting" or "Recording, Mixing, Performance and Production" sections of the PG forum. I am sure there are people who can/will try to assist you. This forum section is mainly for people who make music with help of the PG software such as Band In The Box or Real Band and who are sharing their usage of these programs together with their own skills in compositions.

Well done N.S! The arrangement is a pleasure to listen to and the instruments are layered nicely. Would be interested in hearing the full song when its finished. The guitar is very warm sounding too!

Are you able to understand the lyrics?) OK got it... 1. Yes the accent is noticeable. 2. Not really. The vocals are kind of low in the mix. I catch a word here and there but not enough to make sense of it. If you don't use PG ( BiaB & RB ) you should post in the songwriting area for feedback on your songs in the future. No harm and no foul on this song, as you did not know.

Though not current on rap and hip hop, I listened to enough in years gone by to appreciate a couple of things you have done, here. (I listened to the three tests.) First, your replacement of a heavy beat with the tracks you have chosen, the guitar, for one, appeals to my ear. We have to appreciate that rap is and remains a uniquely racial genre. In addition to that, the number of studios producing rap is very small.
This means the same few producers and artists continue to grind out tracks with the same winning formula, and will as long as the market supports them. Your work, not being strictly commercial at the moment, allows you to experiment with a softer sound. As far as your voice goes, I would continue with the work. As one comment noted, you are not required to slur the words. That slur that many of us consider unintelligible, is rooted in a dialect, not easy to imitate and no reason to imitate. My opinion is the lyrical message should dominate.

I think you did well with it. You sound a little like Khalid. It's a tricky subject, there is such a thing as a culture vulture. M&M gets a pass from some people while Post Malone gets a lot of criticism. White people playing the blues used to get a little criticism and then one day over 90% of all blues was played by whites. So, who knows the future?
