Though not current on rap and hip hop, I listened to enough in years gone by to appreciate a couple of things you have done, here. (I listened to the three tests.) First, your replacement of a heavy beat with the tracks you have chosen, the guitar, for one, appeals to my ear. We have to appreciate that rap is and remains a uniquely racial genre. In addition to that, the number of studios producing rap is very small.
This means the same few producers and artists continue to grind out tracks with the same winning formula, and will as long as the market supports them. Your work, not being strictly commercial at the moment, allows you to experiment with a softer sound. As far as your voice goes, I would continue with the work. As one comment noted, you are not required to slur the words. That slur that many of us consider unintelligible, is rooted in a dialect, not easy to imitate and no reason to imitate. My opinion is the lyrical message should dominate.
