You can insert a different audio track in Windows Movie Maker, which is a freebie that comes with many versions of Windows. I know it comes with XP Pro at least. You can download it here:

I have a couple of collaborators that make very clever movies with good enough audio using Windows Movie Maker.

One is Steven Guiles. Here's a YouTube I know he made while doing FAWM, writing 14 songs in the month of February. I'm 99% sure he wrote in the forums at FAWM that he uses WMM.

I know for a fact he did this one in WMM. Because I thought the text leads or whatever you call them were cool. He wrote back that they are part of WMM, which they are. I have swapped out crummy videocamera audio with good quality audio in WMM. From there you have to do the right compression to get it to YouTube nicely.
