_REGGAEB.STY seems buggy ???? Generating more than 130 bars in this half-time style seems losing the RTs after that; there's no mo' Bass (RT 1157), Organ (RT 1159) or Guitar (RT 1158) after this bar ... Wonder if anyone experienced the same; BIAB 2019 x64 and x32, 628 (and 626), AP version. Always at this same bar they stop. Holds etc are also not recognized after this bar number. PS it's a halftime style, maybe the cause?
One should think it has to do with the loaded MGU's individual bar settings, freezing etc, nut nothing's seems amiss. Reinstalled the latest realtrack updates BTW.

Fiddler2007,
I believe you are encountering a symptom caused by the Band-in-a-Box 255 bar limitation. Even though the RealTrack is not quitting at bar 255, using a RealTrack in half, double or triple time artificially moves the limitation to around bar 85 or 127. That would be relatively consistent with the "more than 130 bars"
As a test you can take the same chord song and RealTrack and change the time to normal. I'm thinking the RealTrack will work over more than 130 bars.

Hi fiddler, Jim has hit the proverbial nail on the head. When working with half-time Realtracks (and presumably Realdrums), BIAB uses double the number of bars to generate the track and then it spreads that generation across the "half-time" number of bars. Thus, if your song is 130 bars long, and uses at least 1 half-time Realtrack, BIAB will need 260 bars to generate that RT. Since this is greater that the 255 bar limit, the RT will stop before it reaches the song's end. If my memory is working properly, it was Videotrack who identified this limitation a year or so ago when helping a person on the forum. Regards, Noel

Ah Guyz, i thought i was going crazy, nutz, or whatever. Thanks. I'l look into it after the weekend.
PS If it were a drinking song it should have been clear earlier; after passing so many bars one should be either drunk or definitely taking a break for p*ss anyway. Biab is somehow human after all ...
However a thing that definitely needs a fix from PG programmers; the half time feature is not bad musically, and this song was not that long to be so stuffed already after 3 minutes.

So i set the whole song to half the BPM count (158 to 78). Reduced the chord duration length by 1/2. Then set the half-times RTs to normal and normal timed ones to double. Funny is through that some wouldn't adapt. (freezze is off, re-generated the lot) F.i. RT 1579 Banjo Rhythm plays a the same tempo either at normal time or half-time. Double speed then quadruples the speed, as if the conversion algorithm doesn't work right .... I'll have to suss this out further, but my personal time frame right now fails to let me spent more time on experimenting with this untimely messy BIAB feature.
One Q: is there a general setting for half time for a whole song somewhere?

fiddler2007,
After all the changes that have been made to the song file, I suspect the SGU/MGU song file is corrupt. If so, it will continue to deteriorate and become less and less reliable. I have some suggestions.
First, save the SGU/MGU file under a new and different name. Then you can experiment with the new file without risking something happening to the original file. For example, save New.SGU as New01.SGU.
Open RealBand. Open the (New01.SGU) file in RealBand and then save the RealBand file under a new name; for example open New01.SGU and then save as NEW02.SGU. Note, RealBand defaults to saving a file as a SEQ file which is the native file for RealBand. You will need to use the "Save As" function to select to save as a SGU file.
Next, start a new song file and manually key in the chord sheet. Use StylePicker to select _REGGAEB.STY.

Hi Jim; Most of it i already did, and the song in Realband looked weird, lots of audio missing. However: i found a work around; In bar settings i addressed the RTs from the song again at bar number 120 (or there about) per track; Eureka, they played 'till the end. (PG, post this as a temporary solution sticky?) F

Have you considered posting your solution in Tips & Tricks? You should so in the future the solution is easy to find.
