This is a french bossa ! The title means " at the edge of the pond " RD BossaBrushes RT 711 Acoustic bass RT 1103 Nylon rythm guitar RT 1063 Tenor sax RT 1379 Solo nylon guitar Here are the french lyrics : 1) Au bord de l'étang, là, je me détends, profitant de l'instant. Les nuages qui passent peuvent laisser des traces. Moi, j'écoute chanter le vent ! 2) Au pied du vieux chêne, je n'sens plus mes chaînes. Y'a le rêve qui m'attend...... Je me laisse aller, seul dans la vallée, un brin d'paille entre les dents. 3) Là, je me ressource. Ce n'est plus la course. J'ai oublié le temps. L'insouciance est belle, me crie l'hirondelle. At first listen I thought of Jacques Brel. I know he is Belgian but the music and your voice, beautiful.
Nice arrangement, the solos fitted perfectly.

I think the music
fitted the story
very well and you sung
it with feeling and

Hi Christian.
Très belle chanson.
Nice choice of RTs and a good arrangement. Somehow, it sounded to have a French feel, even without the lyrics. I kept expecting to hear an accordion appear from somewhere, but perhaps that would have been too much!
Great vocal, enchanting lyrics and an excellent mix.

Merci, mon ami pour ta comparaison avec la voix de Pierre Barouh. Je viens de réécouter Samba Saravah qui est vraiment une bossa envoûtante (en français comme en brésilien) et je n'oublie pas que Pierre Barouh fut un des pionniers de la bossa en France. Merci à lui et merci à toi d'avoir ravivé ces supers souvenirs musicaux ! Christian
