This is a friend's song that I used BIAB on. We used background steel guitar and pop bass, guitar and drums. He played the guitar solo, and sang lead and all harmonies. He has written over 200 songs. Wish I could get him to learn a DAW and use BIAB but he is completely non-tech. Great ear for music, though.

You Know what.. I loved the sound of this, it takes me back to the old tape days before the daw age and the lyrics .vocals guitar and the presentation.

I honestly felt I was listening to myself doing a wee lounge as a one man piece as I did do back then on like a Wednesday night, no work for the band so we separated me and the keyboard player and myself did wee venues.

Raw and real and very nicely sung and played, thanks for the memories on this one Ahh those were the days.

Thanks

Nicely done - love the slow pulse the song has, and the vocals absolutely soar over the instrumentation. Some great harmonies and chord progressions here. Definitely giving me some late 60's/early 70's vibes.

Thanks for sharing!

That's a great song. It has that late 60s singer-songwriter vibe.

I really like the track selection and the vocals are great as well.

Excellent collaboration!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Beautiful song

nice melody

love the flow of this

This sounds real, I actually like it better than the "too slick" sounds

most of us post by letting BiaB do almost all the work.

enjoyed the listen,

Kenny

Really nicely done!! There's a genuine heart and sweetness in this song. As others have said, it has a retro feel. It sounds very Double Fantasy to me, and I am a HUGE Beatles guy! I think the vocal processing could be tamed just a tad, but this is a really BEAUTIFUL song!! Great job!! Take care. Greg

Thanks to all for the kind words!

Greg J, what an ear! Jimmy is in a Beatles cover band and loves Double Fantasy.. And on the vox, I had just gotten PSP Old Timer compressor and I was bound and determined to keep turning it up until I heard a difference. So, solid ear, bruh!

Very nice, gentlemen! A solid 60s sound in every aspect ... what a great era of music! This has that sweet,, subtle soul that has disappeared from music. I really enjoyed my listen!

Nice song, performance and production BUT the reverb on the vocal places it in "a different room" to the backing. In fact the vocal sounds like the mic captured a LOT of the room.
I reckon backing off the vocal reverb a bit and adding a smidge of the same reverb to the backing would "glue' them better.

Very nice classic pop melody, enjoyable vocals and harmonies. The arrangement and mix nicely capture the old folky vibe.

This oozes soul and sincerity.

Great collab with a lot of good things happening...the vocal and guitar performances are very nice.

The above along with the fine write and production capture a period in time well worth reflecting on.

Well done y'all!!!
