So I finally got round to rerecording the vocals and mixing this track again. I thought I'd share the final results. Not much to add on this one, it was the first song I attempted to write and record in BIAB and Studio One. I think I've come quite far since the first attempt I had with this one and hopefully I can continue to improve the more I write, record and mix.

The vocals are doubled one with a lot of reverb and delay, the other drier with a small bit of delay and reverb. Both have three lotf of eq and compression added in alternate stages. Followed by delay and then another compressor which boosts the gain, followed by reverb and more eq. Then theyre routed through a bus which has a digital version of a console on mix the vocals in together and has an Expander on.
I'm not too great at explaining what I did because a lot of what I did was messing around until I found something that sounded good. I'm glad what I did seemed to work!
Nicely done - really catchy, and your vocals are really strong on this one The sound effects in the background added a lot of character too. And I love the instrumentation. Really lush, and the mix is professional and concise.
Sounds really good Richard!! The energy and melody are good, and the vocal is nice. I think it would be nice to have a break in the pattern (a stripped down section maybe) for some relief of the musical theme which is very strong. Nice job!! Take care. Greg
