Hi Cliff,

first of all: Sorry for calling you by the wrong name and thanks a lot for your informative reply.

I used to play guitar in a lot of bands, but since I quit my last band decades ago I grab one of my axes very rarely, to be honest: Only when I want to add a solo to one of my videos. And the last time I did that was - shame on me - last October ( TELL ME WHY ) . Today I started to develop a solo for the vid I'm recently working on, but you can imagine what that means: fingers like dough - will take me a couple of days to get them a bit more flexible again frown

I was always planning to sell my old amps, but I don't have the heart to do so. I still got my 100 W Marshall Valve Combo from 1976 and a tiny Fender amp that I love - but both of them would need maintainance, because they sizzle and growl..

For recording I mostly use a smal VOX VT 20 which comes with a software that offerns dozens of amp sims and gives even a blind owl like me the chance to check out different sounds.

I still got a couple of guitars (can you ever have too many guitars?) - the most important ones are: a 1972 Gibson LP Custom (I think), a Jeff Beck Signature Strat and a Mexican Fat Strat with a Floyd Rose trem. In the Sixties (thus at the age of 16 or 17) I owned a Fender Esquire - I should have never sold it, but I did it. A friend just sent me a photo (the only one there is) when I played it, and I could immediately tell that I was playing Hendrix' Let The Good Times Roll smile .

A lot of good times have rolled since then - unfortunately they seem to be coasting to a stop these days... smile

Looking forward to your next song - take care,

Stefan
