Bluegrass song ... I started with the Seclude Dramatic Bluegrass RealTrack, and replaced the strings with mandolin and fiddle. Added a couple of soloist tracks (mando and fiddle) and edited in the solos where I wanted them. Exported to Logic, where vocals and effects were added, and then mixed. Lyrics are below the link. There are touches of Bobby Goldsborough in the inflection and melodic style.
Nice amendments to the style arrangement.
I'd have liked the solos up the middle but that's just me.
There's some essing that could be addressed but, otherwise the vocal tracking and the overall mixing are really good.

Mandolin on the intro sound great! A bit of shades of "Gentle of My Mind", in a good way. Easygoing, your vocal fits right in. Subtle harmony. Instrumentals are nice, and the song chugs along like a drive down a sunny lane. A "lesson" song without sounding preachy. I like this a lot.

Wow - you really did a great job here  A well written song, and as others have mentioned your mix on this is fantastic. Sounds so crisp and professional. Wouldn't think twice if I heard this on the radio. That aside, your vocals are fantastic and the chorus is catchy and memorable. Plus, that mandolin goes with the track perfectly. Wouldn't change a single thing with this one - thanks for sharing!

Thank you all for the kind words.
I'm still getting used to feedback on the mixes...I've worked in the songwriting realm for so long it honestly never occurred to me that part of what this forum is for is examining that aspect of it. I was thinking more along the lines of "I hope they like the song", the end. My end-use application of the projects I create with BIAB are for song pitching purposes...just demo recordings to hopefully get them cut by an artist TBD.
I take all of the input and suggestions to heart, the recording/mixing engineer part of my work is my weakest link. I appreciate your help, encouragement and advice. Always striving to be better!

This is a beautifully written tune—expertly crafted, perfectly executed. There a some killer—I mean, killer—tunes I’ve heard on this platform . . . This deserves a place among all of them, right near the top—more meaningfully, this deserves some radio play. Excellent work! Enjoyed it immensely.

I think "don’t judge another’s choices until you know their reasons" is just a really good mantra to have in general, with the added addition that not every choice is right for every person. We're all unique souls.
