Tim,

I have found PG Music's +++ Piano Chord Dictionary +++ and +++ Guitar Chord Dictionary +++ to be good investments. What I like is each has a "reverse" chord feature where I can provide the fingerings on the piano keyboard or guitar fretboard and the program will display the proper chord name. The one down side I've found is the guitar chord dictionary does not support alternate tunings,

Another thought is you may want to explore the 2019 Band-in-a-Box Chord Builder Tool. You can open the Chord Builder Tool by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B or selecting the Chord Builder Icon in the Tools Bar.
