Hi,

I've been trying to transfer some BIAB midi files to my DAW and I've got some questions.

1). I understand that if you use the repeat the # of choruses, each time a chorus is played it will have a slight variation with each style. I'd rather lay the song out instead of using the repeat chorus. Will I still get variations the next time the same style plays through a section of the same chord progressions?

2). I looked at an imported midi file that used 2 styles and both A and B parts in each for 4 variations. I couldn't find the patch setting using the DAW list editor. Even though in the BIAB song the guitar patch changes, it didn't seem to change in the DAW. (Cubase did initially pick the right instruments (but not the correct GM instruments.) So, do the BIAB exported midi files have program/ patch info and program/ patch changes or not?

3). With respect to the style maker and style changes in the song, one style used a guitar for the 'melody' (and I don't meant the Melodist track), and the other used piano. However, while it played properly in BIAB, the exported file seemed to have both parts playing all the time (maybe it was just that the second style with the piano used a guitar for rhythm, and it didn't sound right because the guitar track didn't have a patch change whent he second style with the piano kicked in?)

Thanks for any help with these questions.

I did try to search the forums before posting this, but had not luck with my searches. It seems like 200 hits is the maximum results?
