Brille Expert Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 943 Berlin, Germany	Hallo Fred. Leider ist es mit Band in a Box nicht möglich, z.B. 5/4 Takte anders einzugeben als einen 3/4 und einen 2/4 Takt hintereinander. Das gilt auch für andere krummzahlige Takte. Diese werden immer aus Kombinationen von 1/4- bis 4/4-Takten aufgebaut und angezeigt. Es ist ein schon lang geäußerter Wunsch, das auch mit korrekter Notation zu ermöglichen. Es werden also die Taktangaben bei jedem Taktwechsel angezeigt, allerdings nicht die Schlüssel. Ist das tatsächlich bei dir so, dass auch der Schlüssel immer neu auftaucht? Biab/RB latest build, German Language Pak, Win 10/64 Pro, 1 TB SSD, 32 GB RAM. Biab kann genau notieren was gespiellt werd (midi input z.b.). Die wiedergabe is gut aber es ist nicht möglich um zu quantizen, Biab kann kein 5/4 erkennen. Also, ich mache ein Styl in 5/4 in ein Midi programm und ich schränke die midi so das es in einen 4/4 passt. Die erste beat is die erste Beat von ein 5/4. Nun kan ich in 5/4 spielen in Biab. Nicht einfach, aber... Auf mein website können sie hören wie ich das versuche. Sie können beispiele hören hier: https://www.jazzstylezz.com/shop (Select odd meter) Schwer zu lesen (melodie, z.b.) aber wenn du denkt in 5/4 klingt es genau 5/4. Very good work, I will surely buy one or the other style and try it out. Is it possible to buy all styles as a bundle for a special price? Especially the bass lines are sounding very inspiring - what do you think about developing Soloists-Styles für Double Bass? Ich habe zum ersten Mal von deinen Styles gehört, die ich mir gleich mal auf Deiner Webseite angesehen habe. Sehr gute Arbeit, ich werde sicher mal den einen oder anderen Style kaufen und ausprobieren. Kann man auch alle Styles als günstiges Paket kaufen? Ich bin neugierig, ob du nicht auch Kontrabass-Soloisten-Styles entwickeln möchtest, weil Band in a Box da nur wenig im Angebot hat? I especially dig Christian McBride, Rueben Rogers, Dave Holland and -not cool, maybe, but still- Gary Peacock. For the moment habe ich keine ahnung how those soloists are put together. I will look into it. I’m working towards bundles of 10 styles. But it will take me some time (weeks, maybe). I thought: Ecm bundle Bread and Butter Bundle (modern versions of styles ranging from ballad to fast bop and some latin and 3/4) Odd meters bundle (5/4 to 13/8) Ballad bundle Modern Bossa bundle Medium tempo bundle (mix of modern even and swing styles) Modal bundle Fast bop bundle Hope to get it ready and running by end of october Thx a lot Biab, Kontakt, Sampletank and lots of nice libraries, from Fluffy audio to Abbey Road drums. BIAB makes a 3/4 and 2/4 time signature every beat alternating. The musical notation becomes illegible. Maybe you can write to the developer, so that this problem is finally resolved. Thx a lot

Brille Expert Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 943 Berlin, Germany	Hallo Fred, das Problem ist leider ungefähr so alt, wie Band in a Box selbst und bereits häufig als Wunsch an die Entwickler formuliert worden. Dazu sind aber wohl große Umbauten in der Programmstruktur notwendig – auch um die Auf- und Abwärtskompatibilität zu wahren, die ja eine der großen Stärken von BiaB ist. Du kannst mit der aktuellen Programmversion auch 20 Jahre alte Songdateien öffnen und genauso mit älteren Programmversionen aktuelle Songfiles. PG Music verweist stets darauf, dass BiaB kein Notensatzprogramm ersetzt. Aber du hast recht, es wäre großartig, würde das mal ordentlich funktionieren. Ich möchte mal eine Lanze für PG-Music brechen: Peter Gannon hat vor über 20 Jahren begonnen, ein Programm zu entwickeln, das es ihm erlaubt, sich zum Üben eine Begleitband aus dem Computer zu zaubern. Es gab damals kein Programm, dass so etwas möglich machte. Hinter PGMusic steckt kein großes Softwareunternehmen. Die technische Entwicklung und Weiterentwicklung liegt in den Händen einiger weniger Programmierer (und Musiker). Band in a Box ist ein Nischenprogramm - anders als z.B. Word oder Photoshop, deren große Verbreitung auch große Programmierteams mit dem entsprechenden Overhead erlauben. Im Forum werden häufiger große Erwartungen an die Software und deren Funktionen formuliert – teilweise auch in etwas ungehaltenem Ton - "Warum kann das Programm dies nicht? Warum macht es jenes nicht so, wie ich es möchte?". Du kannst sicher sein, das PG Music-Team liest alle Hinweise und Vorschläge und wenn möglich, werden Fehler behoben oder Funktionen ergänzt – mitunter deutlich schneller, als bei "großen" Softwarehäusern. Aber nicht alles lässt sich kurzfristig umsetzen - das liegt auch in der Entwicklungsgeschichte des Programmes begründet und der notwendigen und zweckmäßigen Rückwärtskompatibilität zu alten Songdateien. Insgesamt hat das Programm trotz aller Einschränkungen für mich als Musiker einen sehr großen Nutzwert und ich möchte es nicht missen. Und es hat auch eine sehr aktive Community - die, wie du es ja mit deinen (übrigens sehr empfehlenswerten!) Style-Dateien auch tust – rege die Weiterentwicklung des Programms unterstützen. Also: Du hast Recht, auch ich habe eine lange Wunschliste, was das Programm noch so alles können soll. Aber ich bin trotzallem auch sehr zufrieden mit dem, was es bereits kann. Bubix Apprentice B Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 279 Süddeutschland	Ja auch ich finde dass es ein Außergewöhnliches Programm ist, das mit 5/4 sowie mit 3/4 tel oder 7/(4)8 tel habe ich via tolischer Aufteilung gelöst da die Band ja keine Liedstime spielt für mich als Percussionist eher logischer Aufbau. Da ich eher Playbacks für Solisten oder Sänger zum üben erstelle, Noten erstelle ich mit Toccata z.B. Jedoch wird es via midi datei 0/1 dann gesendet. LG Matze
