Set Me Free Tonight I've still not recovered from having a bit of a cold so I've not really been able to sing at all. Typical because I have a few new songs I really want to record! But I've been having fun and learning by putting together some songs using vocal samples. Mixing is probably the thing that's took me the longest to really get the hang of so I think this being forced to work on actually mixing instead of recording (many many takes) is probably useful! As well as the tracks from BIAB I put together a bass which runs through most of the song (although the BIAB bass is used near the end of the song) and couple of other tracks which play throughout the song. I also used a saturation plugin on the synth track which I think really sounds good. I'm still amazed at the amount of different kinds of songs that BIAB is capable of producing and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do yet. Hmmm...
'RichardB1985', this is the second user forum post by a member who uses 'BandLab' that I couldn't access.

I'm not sure, is it coming up with an error page or is it just not working when you try to press play? I just tried opening it in an incognito tab (so it didn't log me into my account) and it worked so if you try that it may help.

Nice work on this one - definitely a chance of pace for the forums here. Really modern, and I thought it flowed nicely. I thought you incorporated the RealTrack into this really well. Thanks for sharing

I really enjoyed this. Great selection of tracks, and the song is dynamic. Nothing wrong at all with the vocals.
This was fun from start to finish. Going back right now for another listen.

Dear 'RichardB1985'... Attempting to open the link in 'incognito' mode didn't work, either. The reason could be that I'm still using Windows XP. Regardless, it looks a though your song is receiving great positive feedback, so, congratulations to you !!! By the way, I like the fact that you mention the Real Track artists' names. Thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciate everyone taking the time to listen.
I do see the point about the vocals being quite generic. I really produced this one so that I didn't stop practicing and improving mixing while I was struggling to sing. So a lot of it was worked around the vocal sample but I may revisit it in the future.
I've made the project public in case that's why it wasn't working for some people so hopefully that will work Bluage. If not I might have to stop uploading to Bandlab and maybe go back to using YouTube to post my songs.

The intro was a bit abrupt, and perhaps the drums are a bit low in the mix.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass.
