I have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions installed. I mostly just use to create back up tracks. So... which version should I be using?

Essentially, the functionality is largely identical between the two versions, especially if you are simply using the program to create backing tracks.
One difference is that some 32 bit DXi's won't run on the 64 bit version. But there are alternatives that do work.
The Coyote Forte DXi is only compatible with the 32-bit version of Band-in-a-Box, however, there are other 64 bit compatible software synths that can be used instead.
I use the 64 bit version.

Hi
As I have mostly only 32 bit vst and vsti I tend to use the 32 bit version.
However I don’t have J bridge, so if I need to use a 64 bit vst I will use the 64 bit version of BIAB.
Also if I need more memory available (ram) the 64 bit one can use more of what I have installed (8G).
I often use Realband and that is only in 32 bit, but I some times use Cakewalk by Band lab and that is 64.
So it may depend a bit on your setup and work flow.

I have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions installed. I mostly just use to create back up tracks. So... which version should I be using? I think the answer relies on what VSTs you will be using. If most of your VSTs are 64 bit then use the 64 bit BiaB. If they are 32 bit then use the 32 bit BiaB. You will still have an entry level GM in the 64 bit BiaB with the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. But if RealBand is your go to DAW then you must use the 32 bit BiaB.
