As promised, here is exactly what I did with my vocal on this track. In the order they were applied

- The vocal track was recorded using BIAB and a Blue Yeti mic. Nothing fancy here. I should be using some sort of damping in the room, but circumstances don't really allow for that right now.

- The track was then exported as a .wav file with no reverb.

- The vocal was then imported in to reaper on a separate track.

- A Gate (Cockos ReaGate) was added to the track to kill any background noise or any hiss that the track may have between the vocal phrases.

- Izotope Ozone 8's Imager was used to add stereo width. In this case "Stereoize" was set to 20ms with "Band 2" set to 63.3 and "Band 3" set to 100.
"Band 1 & 4" were set to 0.

- Izotope Nectar 2 was used to process the vocal. I used most of a factory preset "Bright and Clean" with a bit of tinkering.

------- Saturation was set to "Tube" with an "Amount"of 68.8% and the "Mix"set to 41.5%
------- Compressor1 was set as follows "Threshold" = -11.1, "Character" = Vintage, "Ratio" = 3.8:1, "Attack" = 1ms, "Release" = 102ms
------- Compressor2 was set as follows "Threshold" = -18.4, "Character" = Digital, "Ratio" = 18.4:1, "Attack" = 1ms, "Release" = 6ms
------- EQ (what I tinkered with) was used to kill some of the Bass and brighten the Highs a bit
------- De-Esser was used
------- Reverb was set to "Pre-Delay" = 0.0 ms, "Decay" = 1.8s, "Width" = 100%, "Wet" = 20.5%, "Dry" = 100%
------- Delay was set to "Mode" = Digital, "Delay" = 200.00ms, "Feedback" = 20.0%, "Width" = 100%, "Wet" = 5.1%, "Dry" = 80.0%

- Within Reaper the track was cut up into individual phrases and had their volumes played with to even out the overall volume of the track in relation to itself.

- Final mixing with the rest of the tracks was then completed.

I should add that I'd be willing to try mixing something for some one if asked.

Cheers,

Troy
