The advances sound interesting. I did some work under contract which got me the instruments at a greatly reduced cost (at the expense of a non disclosure agreement), but after I declined one because of limited time, the offers quit coming in.
I doubt if I'll get to experience the newer keyboards in the near future. They don't seem to be cost effective for me at this time. Since the retirement community (my duo's market) went from standards to rock in taste as the big band people when to "God's waiting rooms" (nursing homes) and the Baby Boomers entered, I don't play keys on the gig anymore. I switched to guitar. Since I also play sax, wind synth, flute, and sing it's too much to lug and tote, so I put the keyboard parts on the backing tracks that I make myself.
The sampled drums on my sound modules are real samples, which make them close enough to real drums. If played "live" with a drum controller (which I do) they are like a drummer playing an e-drum kit like the Roland V-Drums or the Alesis Nitro Mesh.
With MIDI resolution of 480ppq or higher and a good MIDI sound module that responds well to velocity for tone/brightness, the MIDI drums are as good sounding as Real Drums with the advantage that you can extensively edit them.
I find that same advantage using MIDI instrument tracks using a good sound module. Even simple edits are impossible with RTs. Say you love that style but wish the piano was a Rhodes, or that guitar sounded more mellow or bright. MIDI, it's a click away, RTs it's impossible.
There are plenty of improvements that can be made with BiaB, especially in the MIDI department. Many of my "Wish List" suggestions have been granted, other's not, so I'm not complaining, just hoping for more (yes, I'm greedy when it comes to music).

....Odd Meters
....Correct chord and scale tones for midi (biab can only play 7th chords, doesn’t know extensions except as a rule if a dominant goes to a chord up a fourth. And if the style uses macro notes for piano or guitar. In this case the bass line clashes with piano/guitar.)
....Coupling of bass and drum patterns
.....More variations inside one style (no hassle like today’s multi styles)
.....Notation fixes for strange accidental (b or sharp) behavior
.....Fake sheet screen with whole page view and “play” buttons.
Pgmusic still has some issues to solve
