Cecil, I would have thought that it was near impossible these days to have had surgery for colon cancer without a team of physicians (including an oncologist, surgeon, and gastroenterologist) debating a treatment plan before surgery was ever undertaken. No one discussed options before now? I agree with Keith. However 13 years ago I had a stage 3 colon cancer section removed. Because I was in good shape physically I started chemotherapy a week after surgery. I had 8 weeks of 100% chemo followed by 8 more weeks at 80%; note that they will give you as much chemo as you can take without major side affects. I am still cancer free. Get yourself to an oncologist ASAP.
