You really have to be creative to get a metal sound that is convincing. The metal styles still have a ways to go before they are sufficient to do a convincing metal song.

With all respect to the posters who posted links.... those are hard rock styles but certainly no where close to metal. I've got a few of those myself..... but yeah, I tried but it's not metal.

I think one aspect of metal that separates it from hard rock is the drumming. BB still has a way to go with that. By the time they get there, metal will have moved on because nothing ever stays the same.

To get a convincing metal at this point, you'd have to choose carefully the tracks and then play a lot of the guitar parts yourself because metal is, like the hard rock that preceded it, RIFF based, and BB doesn't do riff rock.
