I'm sitting here inside a 1940s club in my mind. Couples are lazily swaying their way around a dimly lit dance floor and the jazz band sits on a slightly raised stage. The piano player has a drink on top of his piano and there's cigarette smoke gently twisting it's way up from an ashtray on the piano player's right.

That such vivid images appeared in my mind and that they were created only by sound shows how wonderful this instrumental is. It "took" me back in time with such authenticity and clarity. Thank you!

I would love to have heard your military band. It must have been incredible!

How is Di? I sincerely hope that her journey is treating her with respect and kindness. You are both such a talented couple.

Can I ask favour... when you get a chance, please consider posting a song that you and Di have done. It doesn't matter if it's been on the forum once (or more) already -- and whether or not it uses Band In A Box. There are a lot of people here now who will not have heard Di.

May good things find you and Di,
Noel

Hello Noel ...

Hope all is well in the Land of Oz. As you head into summer, we, here in the States, are headed into winter. It's been downright cold here in Northern Alabama!

Wow ... that scene you depicted is exactly congruent to my intentions and "mental movie". As I write a song ... and it gets along in the development stages ... I always have a mental movie playing in my head that portrays the kind of scene the song would capture in a movie. That happens for me 99% of the time. If your description and my mental movie were played simultaneously, they would be so close that either of us could rightfully claim plagiarism!

Thank you so much for the terrific review and support. It means a lot ... seriously.

With a new medical team and laborious effort from Di, she is doing better than she has in several years. The attention and treatment she needs, and receives, takes a lot of effort on everyone's part, and a lot of time. But, it's all worth it to see her smiling and interacting with her surroundings again. She's still not strong enough to sing, but hopefully early next year. Thank you for the kind wishes.

Your latest post is killer! That was quite a warm treat. Thanks for the pleasure. Wishing you everything good ...

Alan & Di
