Yes I use Integra7 with everything - but not with S/PDIF, sorry. I can go grab fiber and hook direct to 18i8 and see what happens if you want? May take a while to get behind rack and do it - just an FYI.

But using analog the I7 even if output volume is max, again analog, there is no "buzzing" (or audio clipping/distortion unless mixer audio is also max'ed - LOL)

I think on the Roland forum they talk about the digital out volume giving distortion/buzzing/clipping, call it what you will, but it is NOT a sample rate thing either it seems. [s]I think it's inherent in Roland S/PDIF fixed circuit.

Since I can only have one S/PDIF into most gear I opt for all analog into one mixer(s) into PC Audio I/O (in my case an 18i8 now). I use ALL analog except for the Montage which uses eight stereo pairs (16 channels) over USB, even there I have its mains (L/R) into analog mixer with all my other gear and is usually what I end up using, analog.
