Your command of every aspect of this song shows. What a great song!

Maybe a strange comment, as a drummer, I REALLY enjoy the pocket you sing in. So very cool!

Thank you so much for putting this up for us to hear.

So, if I may ask, how are you putting the instruments together? Specifically, what instruments are you using from what sources.

Excellent Greg.

Your phrasing reminds us of Diana Krall (a fav).

Smooooth but with that just right "edge."

Some of the best horn tracks we've heard. Outstanding.

And a superb write that fits the period perfectly.

Not necessary to say much more other than EXCELLENT!

Enjoyed it...a lot.

THanks so much! Really enjoyed your big band tune! Geary and Vine is a fictitious (as far as I know) intersection in the heart of the city. San Francisco has a Geary st., and I know there is a Vine st. somewhere. The song was originally Cherry and Pine. Take care. Greg

You are definitely an excellent crooner! That big band backing track was perfect for this song. The mix was well done also.

You should do more like this.

Excellent write, vocals, & production...
Your vocal presentation reminded me of Harry Connick Jr...
Which puts you to pretty good crooner company...
In fact I'd like to hear more of this genre from you!
BTW...
How are you weathering the fires & blackouts in your area?

GJ, the Crooner, no question.

Your vocal style always reminds me of Michael Franks.

This is a sensational delivery.

Congratulations Greg, smooth and cool, start to finish.

Mr. Johnson...

Man, those 'crooner' Real Tracks sound grrr-eat...and so do you smile. The aching quality of a strongly wished-for romance came through in your delivery.

I like the easy, elegant swing rhythm. And, although the lyrics seem to describe a kind of unrequited love, nonetheless your chord choices (I assume the song was composed in a major key?) give the song a brightness and an upbeat feel that could chase the 'blues' away. I think your lyrics are sharp, saavy, and entertaining, too.

Greg,

Killer throwback tune . . . and love your vocals on this. Nice work with the horns on this, and the overall production sings. Pretty piece—well done!

The tag line of Geary & Vine made me think of Randy Newman's Vine Street (so beautifully performed by Harry Nilsson).

Thanks Ray! I'll have to check out Vine Street....love Randy Newman, and Nilsson was a great singer! Take care. Greg

Nothing new to add, either.

The horns - and everything else - sound fabulous.
