It sounds really good.
You blended the human input with the BIAB stuff really well.
I was a little confused by the internal contradiction in the 1st verse...
"We had an old porch across the front and that's where we sat all day
We worked real hard in the sun and we don't have nothing to prove"
but it's a country song so just went with it after the 2nd listen. Thanks for listening. Yep.... I caught that "contradiction" as a writer, but it was Danny's song and we just needed to get the song recorded as we didn't really have the time to rewrite much. After the fact, Danny agrees and he will pay more attention to not assuming the listener knows what he's thinking and put it into the lyrics so everyone knows what he's trying to say. The sitting all day was on the weekends. Thanks for catching that aspect and pointing it out. This was a learning experience for Danny and I. Him with regard to writing and me with regard to working on other folks music from square one.

Another excellent country tune. Loved the dobro. Loved the way it framed the vocal. Loved the mix on this as well. Well done.. Man I'll just go ahead and tell you, I love a dobro too. Thanks for listening.

Now that's country. I love this old sound, I wish radio sounded like that again!! You and me both. I love that old country music where you actually had a melody you could hum.

Sounds great. Love the instruments tucked into the mix - really nice. The drums drive the song along, and the vocals nail the classic country sound. Very enjoyable listen!  I fretted over those drums. I probably tried more drum tracks than anything else. Danny is primarily a drummer so I was thinking, I got to get the drums right if nothing else. Danny has always had that hillbilly twang. You ought to hear him sing rock.... same twang.

As David Allen Coe once said (I think it was him), "If that ain't country you can kiss my a$$!" Nice write, vocals, guitar and use of those BiaB pickers. Enjoyed it. J&B PS My (Bud) earliest memory of a tin roof is in the early 50's at my grandmother's house listening to bird shot tinkle on the roof...from the dove shoot in the field behind the house  Yep... Coe sang that. "If that ain't country, it'll hairlip the pope.... and if that ain't country, well it's a damn good joke".... sang that song many a night to bars filled with drunk rednecks. Well done! And yep ... that's country! I played this kind of country music for most of the 50 years I played in a band. I was raised on it and still love it!
The quality of the recording is exceptional. Every single instrument is perfectly clear and perfectly in its proper place. That was a great listen ... transported me back more than a few years. Yeah ... country!
