I noticed quite a few of the sounds in the Biab use sampletank for their sources. But my version of it has expired. Do I need to remake them inside of Cakewalk TTS?

Also Amplitube which I never really used or is it a special edition? I am planning on trying to sort this out. I have an idea what is happening. So I'll see if I can get this happening. I'll blog how I got it working.

I don't know about Sampletank but on a Mac the Amplitube app is in the main Applications folder.

We switched to using Sforzando for the HiQ instruments a number of years ago, instead of SampleTank. There shouldn't be any styles that specifically call for SampleTank, but perhaps you have an older version of Band-in-a-Box. There are some styles that will use Amplitube (if it's installed) on the guitar track. These plugins (Amplitube, Sforzando) should be installed with the main Band-in-a-Box program installer. Just run the installer again and make sure that the components are selected. The Amplitube version is a free version you can also download from your IK Multimedia account. You can get a serial number for Amplitube for activation from your IK Multimedia account or you can contact us to get it.

Thank you Andrew, I am using the 2015 version, but I am going to update to 2020 in December. So I guess the best thing to do is just wait. Is there a find and replace function in Biab 2015?
or do I just wait it out until they release 2020? So it sounds like my version with SampleTank and Amplitube 3 is out of date and obsolete
.

OK I figured if I click on the Plugin in the menu with the part I want Biab to use without it running I could change the style onto the TTS-1 and everything was right. I tried adding amplitube but all I get is an error message. I already own Guitar Rigg and Peavey Revalver and I heard Amplitube is nagware that's kind of why I have been hesitant to load it. but my versions definitely are not working. It would be nice if on the boards people who have both could share what a product that could substitute for amplitube settings. Is amplitube really worth the $250 on sale ? I'm counting down the days to Biab black friday's sales.

Is Amplitube really worth the price is a question only you can answer. But for me it was. Amplitube 4 is my go to amp simulator. It has lots of great amps, cabinets, mics, and effects that you can mix and match. You can go from a crystal clear sound to a high gain heavy metal sound and everything in between.

Is it the best amp simulator? I have no idea. But I do know it does everything that I want from one. YMMV

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Where I see a frustration with Amplitube and maybe I'm wrong id that for example in Peavey Revalver 4 on the speaker they spell out the positions for placing your mike to find different sounds. In amplitiube, it seems like you kind of have to have that intuition to figure out. Revalver 4 for that reason seems much easier to use and time saving.
