Well here is my final song for my 1 song a month challenge. My December song (number 16) will be my last of this year as I have to take down and store my recording rig to make room for the Christmas tree (why I'm posting early). I would like to thank everyone for your encouragement and comments over the last 12 months. It has allowed my to grow as a songwriter and helped me come out of hiding. A new Christmas carol is born. I really like this on a lot. These lyrics are so true "On the coldest nights we light the fire
We're still like children full of desires". What great lines those are!
This is a great Christmas song.
My goal this weekend is to move just enough each day so that no one pokes me to see if I'm dead or not.

It has been really cool to watch your progress and see what you come up with! It seems all too perfect to end on a holiday song. Really great job and thanks for sharing it with us!

Nicely done  This is really smooth and modern for a Christmas song. It doesn't have that overly catchy sensation a lot of Christmas music does - which for me, personally is a big plus. Great work, and thanks for sharing!

I'm not a big fan of Christmas songs (even though I've penned a couple myself  ) but this one blew me away. It has an effortless, natural flow to it that makes you think, "how come nobody wrote this before?" Great song to finish the year with.
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile

Nice one - I love the way you manipulate the syllables and descending notes on lights & bright.
The only nit is that I didn't think the solo offered much.

Hi Troy, I love the happy and engaging music and words. They create a very festive feeling. When I looked down at my feet just now, they were both tapping up and down. That's always a sign that you've caught me hook, line and sinker. You've seriously done a great job with this one. I'm listening to the guitar solo at the moment and smiling.
